While sketching the cottage there was a wedding happening nearby. Then, two of the groomsmen came and asked me if I could draw the wedding! I passed this time. I wasn't in the mood for crowded places and I was enyoing a nice and peaceful moment quite far from the noise! ;) Anyways, it was cute!

Último Sketch Urbano del 2014 y Bello Déjà-Vu - Acuarela

Realicé esta acuarela entre los últimos calorcitos del verano pasado y los primeros fresquitos del otoño que ya se aproximaba.

A esta acuarela le tengo un especial cariño pues me recuerda lo mucho que disfruto dibujar en el exterior. Simboliza también (mientras dura el rigor del invierno canadiense) la promesa del reencuentro futuro, cuando el clima esté mas calentito, con esta actividad que disfruto enormemente.

A comienzo del invierno, luego de las primeras nevadas, salí a caminar por el barrio y al pasar por este lugar, me deslumbró la vista de este parque cubierto de nieve inmaculada, sin una sola marca y toda brillante bajo la luz del sol. Me quedé un rato allí parada, sin nadie a mi alrededor, contemplando maravillada esa escena que me pareció de otro planeta. Recordé entonces mi acuarela y los deliciosos momentos que pasé allí mismo bajo el sol de otra estación, buscando hacer parte de mi cada detalle que fui capaz de percibir de esta porción de mi barrio, de mi vida, de mi historia… Y aquel día de invierno me encontraba de nuevo allí, tratando de grabar otra vez, esta vez sólo en mi retina, esa hermosa porción del mundo que generosamente estaba siéndome obsequiada para regocijo de mi alma…

Last Urban Sketch from 2014 and Beautiful Déjà-Vu

I made this watercolor among the last nice warm weather from last summer, and the first chill of autumn that was approaching.

I have a special affection for this watercolor because it reminds me how much I enjoy drawing outside. It also symbolizes (while the rigor of the Canadian winter lasts) the promise of future reunion, when the warm weather comes back, along with this activity that I enjoy tremendously.

In early winter, after the first snowfall, I went for a walk around the neighborhood, and as I was going through this place, I was dazzled by the view of this park covered with pristine snow, without a mark and all sparkling under the sunlight. I stayed a while standing there with no one around me, marveled by this scene that seemed from another planet. Then, I remembered my watercolor and those delicious moments I spent right there under the sunshine of another season, looking to make part of me every detail that I was able to perceive from this portion of my neighborhood, my life, my story ... That day of winter I was there, trying to record again, this time only in my retina, that beautiful part of the world which was generously been offered to the delight of my soul...
